Working Conditioning

WORK CONDITIONING involves an extensive therapy program involving three to five sessions per week with each session lasting approximately three to five hours. This therapy program will apply simulated work, education regarding re-injury avoidance, possible job site analysis and continued assessment of abilities.

Our program offers an individualized, work-oriented program emphasizing general physical conditioning and targeted personalized job simulation. Participants work with a registered occupational therapist and the program is graded to increase worker strength, tolerance and ability to safely perform functional work tasks.

Research has supported that injured workers who participate in a work-conditioning program achieve return-to-work success rates as high as 85%. Our primary goal is safely returning clients to the workforce. Often times, we will encourage workers to return-to-work on a modified basis. Therapists are available to visit the workplace to assist as facilitators while employees are progressing through our work-conditioning program.
